2006 Project Results

This program was initially developed by the Poultry industry, and Q'ld Agriculture and financed by industry sponsorship and WPSA funds.

Because of its success, the national poultry industry through the Australian Poultry Co-operative Centre (CRC) is trying to expand it into each state for the 2008 year. The intent is for the (CRC) to provide the operational funds, sponsorship of birds through each state's poultry industry and someone from each state's WPSA organisation to annually run the competition (There are easy to follow operational manuals available).

The purpose of this contact is three fold, firstly to make you aware of the competition and its background, secondly to gain your knowledge and support which is essential for the expansion of the competition, and thirdly to provide a contact for any feedback or further information you might require about the competition.

Queensland started off in 1999 with 9 Agriculture schools with poultry facilities and in 2006, 22 schools participated almost 50% of Q'ld's Ag schools. Please feel free to distribute this information to any other sources you think may be interested.

Regards Paul.
