The Australian Sheep CRC is conducting a series of workshops for VET teachers and trainers that will provide an introduction to various tools and resources available through key industry organisations.
The workshop will cover:
* Wool Marketing & Clip Preparation;
* Sheep Grazing Management;
* Sheep Health; and
* Sheep Meat Production & Marketing.
Planning is progressing for the workshops which will be held over the next couple of months. Below are the workshop details and contacts for each of the workshops.
* NSW: Armidale TAFE (26 - 27 April) - contact Pauline Smith (pauline.smith@tafensw.edu.au) - Ph: (02) 6773 7110;
* NSW: Orange TAFE (23 - 24 May) - contact Cameron Fisk
(cameron.fisk@tafensw.edu.au) - Ph: (02) 6393 2683;
At this stage we are looking to cap numbers at around 25 per workshop, with trainers from TAFE and private RTOs expected to make up 15-20 for each workshop.
Consequently, we would like to invite teachers to attend from schools with agricultural VET programs. Participants will receive a range of resources as well as technical instruction on their use.
Unfortunately, funds for teacher release are not available. Accommodation and catering costs will be covered but participants are expected to cover any travel costs to attend the workshop.
Please contact me if you have any queries.
Yours sincerely
Dr Paul Comyn
